We will practice healthy communication skills, and learn tools and techniques to engage in more healthy disagreements. Conflict isn’t the problem in relationships. Sometimes in relationships, intimacy is easy and instinctual in the beginning when we’re first excited to get to know each other. Over time, however, the mundane day-to-day life stressors can impede our ability to communicate in an intimate way, or even engage with each other sexually in a way that feels comfortable and safe. At Liz Davis Therapy, I am skilled in working with couples to re-connect with their intimacy and manage stress and conflict so that it doesn’t interfere with their sexual life. Is there a sexual desire difference? That’s ok! We can talk about it! I am trained and experienced in helping couples navigate through differences in sexual desire and differences in their desire for sexual frequency. We can navigate this, together.
-
Are you and your partner of different sexual orientations? That can feel like a major hurdle! But in my therapy room, I promise this is completely normal. I am skilled at assisting couples clients through navigating differences in sexual orientation. Not only do I have professional training in this, but I have the lived experience as well! I am a Queer (bisexual) woman partnered with a straight man. I understand and empathize with this experience, and I can help!
